We, as Ionic Stone, are very pleased to announce the initiative to rely on solar energy for a portion of the company’s electricity consumption in our processing plant in Denizli via the installation of solar panel systems on the roofs of our facility.
“As the conversations around sustainable energy come to the forefront in Turkiye, it’s essential for company managers to integrate ‘green’ strategies and move towards business models that prioritise sustainability,” says Celil Kilinc, CEO of Ionic Stone. “We’re very happy to be working to reduce our carbon footprint. We hope to be a part of Turkiye’s push for a more sustainable future.”
Our factory is fully outfitted with solar panels and is expected to be fully operational from this month. Once operational, the solar panel system is projected to deliver an estimated 1MW of clean energy, covering about 90 percent of electricity consumption for the Denizli plant.
Our solar systems will offset 730 tons of CO2 emissions of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equivalent to planting an additional 33,183 trees.
